I’ve worked in software engineering long enough to have experienced a variety of languages and tools. Starting with assembler on a PDP-11, through to “C” then “C++” then “Java” and “Python” then “Ruby” with a handful of other things thrown in along the way. Good enough knowledge of relational databases to actually write something that was patent-worthy in that field at some point. I enjoy working with Postgresql currently.
I’m always looking for new things to learn in programming - both in low-level details and in how to get teams of people to work cooperatively to produce great software. My current exploration is the Elixir language and Phoenix web framework.
More importantly, I’m a husband and father. Besides programming I like playing steel string guitar, growing roses, cooking, and reading. Atlanta, GA is my home.
